A Little Background

In a previous life, I was a photojournalist for years covering travel, destinations and  action sports. I have worked in technology for over a decade on both the start up and investing side. Technology and Bitcoin are the only things that have motivated me to write in years. Coinstrategy.io. My only affiliation is that I contribute my articles to Hackernoon.com. 

Who is Pirate Beachbum

Many people ask, “Why do you write under an alias?” The answer is because this is not about me. I am not looking to get famous or make a name for myself. The writing and photos should do the talking and hopefully teach you something new or entertain you. I want to apologize in advance, because I know I spell like shit and my grammar sucks. My wife  started to copy edit most of my articles, but we are not perfect. What can I say, I am a Pirate! #typingwithoneeye
